Onboarding: RS Testing - Production Parallel Testing (PPT)
Purpose: Validating production-equivalent reporting in the KOR UAT environment.
What is Tested:
- Running the Client’s current production data flow to KOR’s UAT environment as if it were live production reporting.
- Daily reconciliations between the Client’s current production reporting and KOR UAT submissions.
- Pulling reports and executing controls in the same manner as production to confirm that corrections are accurately reflected and reconciled.
- This stage is when the Client’s operations team assumes responsibility for managing and resolving issues, ensuring they are fully prepared to handle production processes at go-live.
Notes:
- Some differences may occur if the Client is switching trade repositories, if there are regulatory changes, or if known reporting issues exist.
- Cannot be completed until backload testing has been finished.
Objective:
- Confirm that no unexpected discrepancies occur.
- Ensure that reporting output is consistent with current production reporting.
What KOR Does
- Monitors all submissions during the testing phase.
- Provides assistance and training to the Client as needed
What the Client Does
- Operates as if live in production, following standard production procedures.
- Actively manages reprocessing activities and implements any configuration or value mapping updates, with KOR providing oversight and guidance.
- Pulls reports and applies controls in the same manner as would be done in production.
Estimated Duration:
- Based on Client preference.
- Typically 1 to 4 weeks.
