How do I report collateral data?
Suggested implementation steps to do each business day:
- Run UTIs missing Portfolio Codes & Collateralistion Category Report
- Submit either MODI Transaction messages or Valuation Messages to add the Portfolio Code(s) and Collateralistion Category(s)
- Run the Need to Report Collateral Messages for Report to identify what portfolio codes/UTIs are open and need to report collateral for
- Submit collateral messages for each of the UTIs and/or Portfolio Codes
- Check the Rejections UI and/or reports to check for failures and resubmit any that were rejected
- Re-run the Need to Report Collateral Messages for Report to identify any missed valuations
- Repeat until the report does not return any UTIs/Portfolio Codes.
It is recommended that a Client submit Collateralistion Category and Collateral Portfolio information on the NEWT Transaction message where they can to reduce these steps.
The user should also periodically run the Missing Collateral Report to verify no collateral messages were missed, and if they were submit the missing messages with the missed collateral date.
Note:
Collateral data is only recorded as reported when the message has passed all SDR validations. Business Days means the twenty-four-hour day, on all days except Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays, in the location of the reporting party or registered entity reporting data for the swap.
