Eligibility

How do I interpret Droit's eligibility responses?

How can I learn more about my eligibility determinations using Droit?

Transaction Eligibility

Droit determines eligibility for a trade or transaction lifecycle event using 5 distinct scopes each assessing scenarios relating to different categories of event characteristics:

  • Product - assesses scenarios relating to the product referenced by the event under evaluation, such as the asset class or FX currencies.
  • Transaction context - assesses scenarios relating to the context or nature of the event, such as the venue of execution, or clearing or price-forming status.
  • Unilateral Party Contraparty - assesses scenarios relating to My Entity attributes, such as US Person status, jurisdiction of incorporation, or entity licenses.
  • Unilateral Party Counterparty - assesses scenarios relating to the Other Entity attributes, such as US Person status, jurisdiction of incorporation, or entity licenses.
  • Bilateral Party - assesses scenarios relating to the relationship between My Entity and the Other Entity, such as intra-entity transactions

Reporting Party Determinations

Once an event has been determined to be in scope for reporting across all scopes for a particular mandate, Droit's Adept engine will evaluate which parties to the trade have an obligation to report, including tie-breaker evaluations for one-sided mandates. This determines the Reporting Party/Parties, Entities Responsible for Reporting, and Continuation Data Reporting Party where applicable.
